Leading the redesign of systems that manage training and learning processes for Intel’s Technical Skills and Capabilities organization. This central training and learning entity, unique to Intel, addresses the technical and capability needs of FSM technicians, engineers, and managers.
Guided by its vision to revolutionize and inspire learning, the organization aims to drive growth in technical skills, enable manufacturing excellence, and support FSM’s transformation under IDM 2.0. The redesigned systems were tailored to this mission, creating a seamless, user-centric experience that fosters professional growth and operational efficiency.
The project focused on improving the usability and accessibility of the systems, while ensuring the diverse needs of both manufacturing workers and the training team responsible for managing and operating these systems.
The existing systems were overly complex and time-consuming for both manufacturing employees and training staff. Users reported difficulties navigating the systems, finding relevant information, and managing training processes efficiently.
The systems serve two main user groups:
Factory employees – technicians, engineers, and other professionals who use the systems as part of their professional training and to improve their technical capabilities.
Training organization employees – those responsible for the ongoing management and operation of training, content management, and services for factory employees.
This dual focus created unique challenges in designing systems that effectively meet the needs of both user groups while ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience.

User Research – Conducted interviews and observations with manufacturing employees and training staff to understand the unique needs of each group.
Process Mapping – Identified pain points in existing workflows, including user journeys and training management processes.
Performance Analysis – Examined system usage data to identify recurring patterns and analyze challenges.
2 interactive prototypes focusing on tailored solutions for each user group were designed:
+ For production workers, a simple and intuitive interface was designed for managing training, searching for information, and completing learning tasks.
+ For training staff, a dashboard was designed for efficient daily activities, allowing for easy content management, tracking employee progress, and making quick adjustments.
A key feature of the redesigned system is its integration of AI to personalize the training experience. The AI algorithm analyzes user profiles, including their current skill levels, job roles, and input from personal managers, to recommend a tailored selection of courses. This ensures that each employee receives relevant and effective training aligned with their professional growth goals and the operational needs of their department.
To enhance the system’s visual design, I utilized AI tools to generate custom icons and graphical assets. These tools enabled the creation of cohesive and visually appealing imagery while significantly reducing the time required for asset production. The AI-generated elements were tailored to align with Intel’s branding and design guidelines, ensuring a professional and consistent look across all interfaces.
Users need systems that provide smooth workflows tailored to their immediate needs.
Daily operations require quick access and user-friendly tools capable of handling high volumes and complex processes.
Designed accessible and visually appealing interfaces focusing on simplicity and usability.
Developed systems that reduce operational burden and enhance the effectiveness of training processes.
Created flexible and scalable systems capable of adapting to the organization’s evolving needs.
The redesigned systems significantly improved the user experience for both key audiences, reduced operational inefficiencies, and increased satisfaction among manufacturing employees and training staff alike. The personalized training powered by AI led to higher engagement levels and more effective skill development across the organization.
